Plymouth Community Homes has now signed a contract with Galliford Try Partnerships to build 67 new homes on the former Southway secondary school site.
Southway Campus will be marketed as Porsham Heights, and will be home to 55 houses and 12 flats. This will include 42 homes for rent, and 25 for shared ownership. A number of these properties will meet the lifetime homes standard which means they can be easily adapted to meet residents changing needs as they get older.
There will be a mixture of 2 and 3 bedroom houses for shared ownership, with each property featuring private parking and a garden.
Part of the school campus has already been developed with a primary school and GP’s surgery, which contributes to the growing community spirit in the area.
Galliford Try have started work on the site, with the project is due for completion around spring 2018.
